Pakistani judge tests positive for COVID-19

KARACHI, Pakistan

A top judge of the high court of Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province and his eight family members have tested positive for coronavirus as the country's COVID-19 tally topped 64,000 with record 57 deaths in the past 24 hours.

Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel, the chief justice of Balochistan High Court, and his family members have gone into self-isolation after being tested positive, local broadcaster 24 News reported quoting high court officials.

On Friday, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 64,028 with 2,636 new cases in the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, the nationwide death toll stands at 1,317.
