Over 1M cannabis roots seized in eastern Turkey
Gendarmerie in Bingol also confiscate 105 kg of marijuana
BINGOL, Turkey
Turkish security forces seized almost more than 1 million cannabis roots in an operation in the eastern Bingol province, local authorities said on Monday.
Acting on a tip, the local gendarmerie raided eight separate addresses in the province. They also confiscated 105 kilograms (231 pounds) of marijuana besides cannabis roots, the Bingol Governorate said in a statement.
Two suspects were arrested in the operation.
