Morocco rescues 256 migrants in Mediterranean, Atlantic
41 women and 5 children among those rescued, state news agency reports

Moroccan Coast Guard units rescued at least 256 irregular migrants in the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean from Feb. 5-8, a local news agency said Tuesday.
The migrants, most of whom were from Sub-Saharan Africa, included 41 women and five children, said Moroccan state news agency MAP.
They were given medical assistance and handed over to gendarmerie forces for administrative procedures, MAP added.
