French forward retires from football at age of 31
Lithuanian club FK Zalgiris announces David N’Gog ended his career
ANKARA
Lithuania's top-tier football club FK Zalgiris confirmed Sunday that French forward David N’Gog has retired at the age of 31.
"Of course, his decision was unexpected for everyone - coaches and team leaders. David’s career is impressive, he has played in the most famous clubs in Europe and the World," Vilma Venslovaitiene, the team manager of the club said in a statement.
N’Gog, 31, previously played for France's Paris Saint-Germain and English clubs, including Liverpool, Bolton and Swansea.
The French player had joined FK Zalgiris in February.
