Turkey's Medipol Basaksehir will take on Denmark's FC Copenhagen in a Round of 16 match of UEFA Europa League on Thursday.

The first leg game will take place in Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium in Istanbul tonight at 8.55 p.m. local time (1755GMT).

Basaksehir are the only Turkish team still competing in the European football this year.

They eliminated Portugal's Sporting Lisbon in the last 32 round to reach the UEFA Europa League round of 16 for the first time.

Basaksehir won 7 games and lost 13, while they drew 8 matches in 28 UEFA games since they joined the UEFA competitions in the 2015-2016 season for the first time.

With their coach Okan Buruk, the Turkish club won 4, drew 1 and lost 5 UEFA games.

The second leg match will be played at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark on March 19.

Basaksehir paired with FC Copenhagen for the first time in history.

Polish city of Gdansk will host the 2020 Europa League final on May 27.

UEFA postponed two Europa League games Thursday due to precautionary travel restrictions imposed amid the coronavirus outbreak.
