Courtney Duncan victorious in 4th round of Women's Motocross World Championship in Turkey

AFYONKARAHISAR, Turkey 

The first day of the Bitci MXGP of Turkey concluded on Saturday with the second race of the fourth round of the FIM Women's Motocross World Championship.

In the first race of the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship in Turkey, Italian rider Kiara Fontanesi took the first spot with a time of 25:15.247, ahead of Courtney Duncan from New Zealand, who came second with 25:21.169.

Belgian Amandine Verstappen finished third with a time of 25:38.845.

The nail-biting second race of the FIM Women's Motocross World Championship saw defending champion Duncan pass Fontanesi on the final lap to seal a victory in Turkey.

Duncan finished the race with 25:06.664 with Fontanesi just 0.342 seconds behind.

Both riders each collected 47 points but Duncan became the overall winner at the Bitci Round of Turkey since she won race two.

Dutch rider Nancy van de Ven put in a time of 25:41.040 for third in the second race, ending the day in the third spot overall with 38 points.

Following this victory, Duncan led the table with 132 points.
