ANKARA

Health authorities in Oman and Kuwait on Monday registered more coronavirus cases and deaths.

Oman recorded 363 new cases, nine deaths, and 287 recoveries over the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The total number of cases in the Gulf state rose to 118,503 cases, including 1,310 deaths and 108,968 recoveries.

In Kuwait, the Health Ministry recorded 735 cases of COVID-19, five deaths and 738 recoveries.

Monday’s figures pushed the total number of cases to 132,478, including 816 deaths and 123,314 recoveries.

Since originating in China last December, the pandemic has claimed over 1.25 million lives in 190 countries and regions.

More than 50.52 million cases have been reported worldwide, while nearly 34 million patients have recovered so far, according to figures compiled by the US’ Johns Hopkins University.
