Coronavirus claims 72 more lives in Iraq
UAE and Bahrain also report new infections, fatalities
ANKARA
Iraq, a country that has implemented strict measures to contain the spread of coronavirus, continues to struggle with the outbreak.
The Middle Eastern state confirmed 3,837 new infections, and 72 virus-linked fatalities in the past 24 hours.
The new figures brought its total infections to 215,784, including 6,668 deaths and 157,215 recoveries.
Other Arab countries also reported new numbers.
In the United Arab Emirates, one more fatality was reported besides 399 infections.
With the newly reported cases, the UAE's tally reached 68,020 cases, 378 deaths and 59,070 recoveries.
In Bahrain, the Health Ministry recorded one death along with 357 infections and 362 recoveries.
The island nation's total infections now stand at 50,076, including 186 deaths, and 46,673 recoveries.
