Bundesliga leaders Leipzig unbeaten since October

ANKARA 

German Bundesliga leaders Leipzig are unbeaten in the division since October as they recently came back against Union Berlin 3-1 on weekend.

Visitors' Marius Bulter scored the opener in a counter-attack in the 10th minute to shock Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena.

In the second half, Leipzig came back from one goal deficit as German forward Timo Werner found the net twice and Austrian midfielder Marcel Sabitzer scored one goal against Union Berlin.

Following this victory, Leipzig had 40 points to top Bundesliga.

The reigning champs Bayern Munich earned 36 points in 18 showings.

Leipzig's fairy tale in Bundesliga is still ongoing as they last lost to Freiburg 2-1 on Oct. 26, 2019.

Since then Leipzig had eight wins and one draw.


Haaland scores hat-trick in debut for BVB

On Saturday's game, 19-year-old promising forward from Norway, Erling Haaland came off the bench to score hat-trick on Borussia Dortmund debut, while BVB beat Augsburg 5-3 at away.

Bayern Munich hammered Hertha Berlin 4-0 at Olympiastadion (Olympic Stadium) in Berlin.

Borussia Monchengladbach lost to Schalke 2-0 and they slipped to the third spot.

Monchengladbach had 35 points to be in third position.

The Ruhr arch rivals, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04 earned 33 points each in the league.

The Ruhr is an urban area in North Rhine-Westphalia as Dortmund and Gelsenkirchen, Schalke's hometown are in the same region.
