The Azerbaijani military has destroyed more than 280 Armenian tanks and armored vehicles, according to Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry.

From Sept. 27 to Oct. 10, Azerbaijan wrecked over 280 tanks and armored vehicles, along with more than 150 military trucks and vehicles, according to information compiled by the ministry.

Approximately 300 artillery and missile systems, more than 60 air defense systems, 16 command management and observation zones, eight ammunition depots, and one S-300 missile system have also been destroyed, it said.

At least 18 Armenian tanks that were in good condition were captured by the Azerbaijani army.

31 civilians killed, 171 injured by Armenia

Armenian attacks have killed at least 31 Azerbaijani civilians and injured 171 more since Sept. 27, Azerbaijan’s chief prosecutor's office said on Saturday.

Some 1,137 houses, 45 apartments, and 146 public buildings have also been damaged beyond use in Armenian attacks, it added.

Armenia uses phosphorus rockets

The Armenian army fired rockets containing white phosphorus on civilian settlements, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said in a report.

Armenia has been constantly targeting the cities of Aghdam, Aghdash, Aghjabadi, Barda, Beylagan, Jabrayil, Goranboy, Naftalan, Fizuli, Terter, Shamkir, Zardab, Yevlah, Genje, and Mingechevir, said Ilnur Kassanov, an official of the Military Information Center in Barda.

Kassanov said two 122-millimeter D-4 rockets containing white phosphorus fell in Eskipara in Terter city and Arayatli in Fizuli city.

He added that one bomb, 23 Smerch missiles of 300-millimeter caliber, and 12 anti-tank rockets also fell in civilian areas between Sept. 27 and Oct. 8.
