Turkey has administered over 110.3 million coronavirus vaccine jabs since the country launched an immunization drive in January, according to official figures released Sunday.

More than 54 million people have been given a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while around 45 million are fully vaccinated, the Health Ministry said.

According to the data, some 87.06% of Turkey’s adult population has now received at least one dose of a two-shot vaccine.

Turkey has also given third booster shots to more than 10.4 million people.

The ministry recorded 27,351 new coronavirus cases, 194 fatalities and 22,004 recoveries over the last 24 hours.

Turkish wrestler Taha Akgul won the bronze medal Sunday at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships in Norway. Akgul, 30, beat his US opponent Nicholas Gwiazdowski 6-4 in the men's freestyle 125-kilogram bronze medal match in the capital Oslo.

Turkey's Fazli Eryilmaz took a bronze medal in the 2021 World Wrestling Championships held in Oslo on Sunday. Eryilmaz, 24, beat his Belarusian opponent Azamat Nurykau 2-1 in the men's freestyle 74 kg bronze medal match to come third in the tournament.

At least eight people were killed in a blast at a mosque in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul on Sunday, according to media reports.

Israel's public attorney filed an indictment on Sunday against six Palestinian prisoners who had tunneled out of a high-security prison in northern Israel last month before being rearrested.

Registration opened Sunday for the first stage of Palestinian local elections on Dec. 11 in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian election commission.
