60 years since coup struck blow at democracy

The May 27, 1960 coup, which resulted in the execution of ex-Prime Minister Adnan Menderes, Foreign Minister Fatin Rustu Zorlu, and Finance Minister Hasan Polatkan, went down as a dark stain in the history of Turkish democracy.
