LONDON
Hashem Abadi, the bother of the Manchester Arena bomber, on Thursday was sentenced to at least 55 years in prison.
He was convicted over helping buy, stockpile, and transport parts for the bomb used by his brother, Salman, who in May 2017 detonated a suicide vest at an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena.
The attack killed Salman and 22 others, as well as injuring up to 1,000 people.
It was the worst terrorist attack in the UK since the 7/7 bombings, a series of terror attacks that rocked London on July 7, 2005.
In March, Hashem was found guilty of 22 counts of murder.
A public inquiry into the attack will begin next month.
