French broadcaster BFMTV ended its live broadcast and evacuated its building in Paris on Saturday afternoon due to a bomb alert, daily Le Parisien reported.

The police arrived at the scene along with bomb disposal experts and sniffer dogs after an internet user reportedly claimed that the building would explode.

"Our premises were evacuated following a security alert. Law enforcement is on site to carry out checks. Our programming is temporarily disrupted across all RMC BFM channels," BFMTV confirmed on the US social media platform X.

Broadcaster RTL, citing witnesses, said employees took refuge in an underground parking garage while a suspicious package was reported inside the building.
