French Ligue 1 side Lille said Saturday that Renato Sanches, Jonathan Ikone and Jonathan Bamba contracted the COVID-19 virus.
Manager Christophe Galtier said two tests must be negative for Sanches, who is currently in Portugal, to get a travel permit to return to France.
He added that Ikone and Bamba are asymptomatic and officials expect them to soon join the team.
France's top-flight football tier ended in early in April because of the coronavirus pandemic and the 2020-2021 season will kick-off Aug. 23.
Fourth-place Lille qualified for the UEFA Europa League.
