The annual inflation rate in Spain was at 3.3% in March, up from 2.3% in February, official figures showed on Tuesday, related to increasing energy prices amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
Electricity, gas and other fuels' prices rose by 3.3% year-on-year in March, after decreasing 1.1% in February.
Transport item posted highest annual hike with 5.3% in March.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices posted an increase of 1.2% in Spain, after increasing 0.4% in February and decreasing 0.4% in January.
