Turkish Aksa's power plant in Mali fully operational

- The plant, which will meet 13% of Mali's total energy consumption, is expected to increase Aksa's profitability and sales

Turkish Aksa Energy's power plant in Mali has been completed and is now up and running, the company announced late Thursday.

Aksa Energy, in a statement to Turkey's Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), said an initial 10-megawatt capacity in the plant became operational on Aug. 4 and the remaining 30 megawatts was put into operation on Thursday.

The plant is expected to increase profitability and the sales volume of Aksa Energy.

The company said that it will meet 13 percent of Mali's total energy consumption.

With the start of commercial operations in Mali, Aksa's total installed power in Africa reached 386 megawatts.
