Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye increased by 4.59% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 897,144 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,178 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 27,401 megawatt-hours at 04.00 local time (0100 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 896,639 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a 4.73% increase compared to Sunday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 22.06% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 21.3% while lignite comprised 15.1%.
On Monday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,438 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 14,030 megawatt-hours.
