Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye increased by 4.13% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 905,885 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,124 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 28,343 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 905,417 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 4.08% increase compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 22.7% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 21.2% while hydro plants comprised 19.5%.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 11,553 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 12,416 megawatt-hours.
