Turkey's gas imports from Russia decreased by 43% to 4.5 billion cubic meters in the first quarter of 2019, compared to the same period of 2018, Gazprom announced on Wednesday.
Turkey imported 7.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Russia in the first three months of 2018.
Turkey's lowest import level from Russia was in the first quarter of 2010 with 4.3 billion cubic meters.
Russia is Turkey's main gas supplier accounting for 52% of Turkey's gas needs in 2017. Officials have not yet released the figures for 2018.
