Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.50% to 716,085 megawatt-hours on Thursday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 21.00 local time with 33,314 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 24,376 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Total electricity production reached 706,363 megawatt-hours on Thursday with an 0.15% increase compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from imported coal plants at 158,814 megawatt-hours. Hydroelectricity plants and natural gas plants followed 158,017 megawatt-hours and 116,748 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 514 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 10,235 megawatt-hours.
