Hourly power consumption peaked at 17.00 local time with 43,819 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 32,012 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production reached 938,206 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.1% increase compared to the previous day.
While electricity production from natural gas constituted 26.74% of total electricity consumption in Turkey on Friday, hydroelectricity power plants held a share of 25.81% and the share of imported coal was 21.26%.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 5,735 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 7,676 megawatt-hours.
