Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.41% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 931,249 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,702 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,878 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 928,943 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.30% increase compared to Wednesday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 29.9% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 22.1% while lignite plants comprised 13.9%.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,936 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 11,478 megawatt-hours.
