Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 3.85% on Saturday compared to the previous day, reaching 833,445 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time at 39,186 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,475 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 834,553 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 3.9% decrease from Friday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 42.5% of total electricity consumption, lignite plants comprised 14.5%, while imported coal plants held a 13% share.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,886 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 7,906 megawatt-hours.
