Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.92% to 762,948 megawatt-hours on Friday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 36,086 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 26,584 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production totaled 768,362 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.96% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from coal imports totaling 207,442 megawatt-hours. Natural gas and hydroelectricity followed with 191,981 megawatt-hours and 149,389 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,638 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 3,224 megawatt-hours.
