Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.84% to 895,039 megawatt-hours on Thursday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 16.00 local time with 41,221 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,441 megawatt-hours at local time 07.00.
While electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 23.3% of total electricity consumption in Turkey on Thursday, imported coal held a share of 22.4% and the share from hydroelectricity power plants amounted to 15.4%.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 5,925 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 2,003 megawatt-hours.
