Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.65% on Friday compared to the previous day to reach 855.584 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 40,185 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,977 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production reached 862,622 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.67% decrease compared to the previous day.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 33,06% of total electricity consumption on Friday, imported coal plants held a 22.42% share while hydroelectricity power plants comprised 21.44%.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 7,922 megawatt-hours while imports reached 884 megawatt-hours.
