Russian Rosneft may open a gas station chain in Germany, according to Igor Sechin, CEO of the oil major late on Sunday.
According to Russian state news agency Tass, Sechin said that he would not rule out his company opening a network of filling stations in Germany.
'As a matter of fact, we are selling our products to Germany via networks of filling stations operated by our partners, whom we have a corresponding agreement with,' he said revealing that these partners include BP and Total.
'But probably we will develop our own network,' he stressed.
Rosneft is Germany's third largest oil refining market player with aggregate capacity of 12.5 million tonnes a year, or 12 percent of Germany’s oil refining output.
