Norway's total sales of petroleum products retreated to 678 million liters in May 2019, a 6.2% drop compared to the same month last year, according to Statistics Norway on Friday.
For gasoline sales, the statistics office said the volume decreased to 92 million liters - a year-on-year decline of 10 million liters.
Sales of diesel amounted to 251 million liters, an increase of 3 million liters compared to May last year.
Data from the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, the Norwegian Petroleum Institute and oil companies provide data from which the statistics authority has produced monthly figures since 1973.
