Norway's total sales of petroleum products retreated to 619 million liters in March 2019, a 5.1 percent drop compared to the same period last year, according to Statistics Norway on Wednesday.
The statistics bureau said the volume of gasoline sales reached 77 million liters - a year-on-year decrease of 11 million liters.
Sales of diesel amounted to 243 million liters, a decrease of 5 million liters compared to March last year.
Data from the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, the Norwegian Petroleum Institute and oil companies provide data from which the statistics authority has produced monthly figures since 1973.
