Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 14.9% to 742,946 megawatt-hours on Monday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 36,312 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 24,199 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production totaled 747,733 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a 15.26% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from coal imports totaling 202,923 megawatt-hours. Hydroelectricity and natural gas followed with 161,239 megawatt-hours and 144,919 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Monday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,182 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 3,395 megawatt-hours.
