International Energy Congress & Expo begins in Ankara

- Investment opportunities in Turkey, renewables, electricity, natural gas trade and storage are among topics for discussion

The annual International Energy Congress and Expo (EIF 2019) will start on Wednesday in Ankara at the Congresium Ankara ATO International Convention & Exhibition Center to host around 300 executives, experts and CEOs from more than 40 countries between Nov. 6 and 8.

Held for the 12th time, the attendees will discuss renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, geothermal, hydro and biomass, in addition to topics on the global energy market and investment opportunities in Turkey.

Renewable energy resource zones (YEKA) in Turkey, electricity production from local resources, liquefied natural gas (LNG) trade, natural gas storage in Turkey, and activities of Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) will also be important topics up for discussion at the congress.

Anadolu Agency will once again be the global communication partner of the conference and will provide news coverage of the event.

Turkey's Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Fatih Donmez; Chairman of the Committee on Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information, and Technology of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Mustafa Elitas and head of Energy Market Regulatory Authority, Mustafa Yilmaz will be some of the attendees.
