TotalEnergies announced a €0.12 per liter price reduction for diesel and petrol for the summer period on Thursday.
The discount will be effective in all TotalEnergies motorway service stations between July 1 and Aug. 31.
France previously announced a nationwide reduction in fuel price by €0.18 per liter.
In conjunction with this reduction, TotalEnergies price reduction amounts to €0.30 per liter, saving the equivalent of €15 off the price of filling a 50-liter tank.
The company took action in response to rising energy costs that have pushed fuel prices up and weighed on people's purchasing power in France.
The average diesel price in the country is now €2.20 per liter and €2.16 per liter for unleaded petrol.
