Turkey's LPG production rises in September

Turkey’s liquefied petroleum gas production rose by 2.2 percent to around 67,714 tons for September 2014, according to the country's energy marketing watchdog.

According to the report released by the Energy Marketing Regulatory Authority, Turkey's refineries’ total LPG production rose by 2.2 percent for September alone and annual exports increased by 21 percent to about 307,628 tons compared to September 2013.

Turkey imported LPG from ten different countries in September 2014 -- Algeria, Russia, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Ukraine, Libya, Norway, Romania, Germany and Italy. The majority of the imports came from Algeria with 133,574 tons, Russia with 80,343 tons and Kazakhstan with 40,220 tons.

Turkey's LPG exports dropped by 0.6 percent to about 1,659 tons for September with only the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Turkey's free trade areas making any imports, the report said.

The amount of autogas sold in Turkey over the same period in 2014 was 255,015 tons. Additionally, 72,687 tons of bottled LPG and 5,828 tons of bulk LPG were sold to Turkish customers.
