Turkey's daily power consumption up 15.8% on Nov. 25

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 7,851 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 10,600 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 15.8% to 807,237 megawatt-hours on Monday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 18.00 with 40,089 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 25,918 megawatt-hours at local time 04.00.

Electricity production totaled 804,488 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a 16.8% increase compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from imported coal plants totaling 206,716 megawatt-hours. Natural gas plants and lignite plants followed with 196,330 megawatt-hours and 135,084 megawatt-hours, respectively.
