The oil rig count in US has declined for eleventh consecutive week, according to the latest data released by oilfield services company Baker Hughes on Friday.
The number of oil rigs, an indicator of short-term production in the country, fell by 15 to reach 222 for the week ending May 29, from 237 the previous week.
In the past eleven weeks, the decline in US oil rig count totaled 461, according to the data.
At Friday's close, price of international benchmark Brent crude stood at $36.03 per barrel, while American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was at $35.34 a barrel.
