Türkiye's oil imports up 5.9% in June

- Crude oil imports rose by 2.9% to 2.92 million tons in June, latest data shows

​​​​​​Türkiye's total oil imports increased by 5.9% to 4.61 million tons in June compared to the same month in 2024, according to recent data released by the country's energy watchdog on Wednesday.

Crude oil imports, the category with the highest oil import volume, rose by 2.9% in June to 2.92 million tons, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said in its monthly report.

Türkiye imported the majority of its crude oil and oil product needs from Russia in June, totaling 2.95 million tons. Kazakhstan and Iraq followed with 411,790 tons and 365,410 tons, respectively.

Total exports in the oil market increased by 14%, reaching 1.46 million tons.

Additionally, total domestic oil product sales increased by 3.5% year-over-year in June to 3.01 million tons.
