Turkiye's oil imports up 19.9% in November 2021

- Crude oil imports jump by 15.7% to 2.98 million tons, latest data shows

Turkiye's total oil imports increased by 19.9% on an annual basis to 4.28 million tons in November 2021, according to data released by the country’s energy watchdog on Wednesday.

Crude oil imports, the category with the highest oil import volume, rose by 15.7% in November to 2.98 million tons, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said in its monthly report.

In November, Turkiye imported the most oil and oil products from Iraq, totaling 1.64 million tons. Russia and India followed with 1.04 million tons and 424,797 tons, respectively.

Oil refinery product exports increased by 15.4% to 799,432 tons, while output also rose by 17.3% to 3.34 million tons in November.

Total domestic oil product sales increased by 1.2% year-on-year in November to 2.65 million tons.
