Türkiye's oil imports up 12% in July

- Crude oil imports show 11.7% rise in July to 2.92 million tons, latest data shows

​​​​​​​​Türkiye's total oil imports increased by 12% to 4.85 million tons in July compared to the same month in 2024, according to recent data released by the country's energy watchdog on Monday.

Crude oil imports, the category with the highest oil import volume, rose by 11.7% in July to 2.92 million tons, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said in its monthly report.

Türkiye imported the majority of its oil and oil product needs from Russia in July, totaling 3 million tons. Kazakhstan and Iraq followed with 525,888 tons and 495,836 tons, respectively.

Total exports in the oil market increased by 12.1%, reaching 1.28 million tons.

Additionally, total domestic oil product sales increased by 7.9% year-over-year in July to 3.20 million tons.
