Türkiye’s electricity company Enerjisa Enerji will power Turkish tire producer Brisa’s factory in the country’s Aksaray province with rooftop solar panels, Enerjisa said in a statement on Monday.
Under Enerjisa’s Energy of My Business project, Brisa will be able to meet nearly one-fifth of the factory’s required power, generating an annual capacity of 6,226 megawatt-hours (MWh), and covering the electricity needs of approximately 2,075 households annually.
More than 10,400 rooftop solar panels will be installed in an area of 75,000 square meters and at a total capacity of 4.2 megawatts.
The deal will also prevent the emissions of 3,000 tons of CO2 per annum.
