Turkish energy company bought four oil refineries in Iran, according to a company official's statement on Friday.
The Turkish company, Yukselir Group, invested $5.7 billion for the refineries and the investment will also create 6 thousand jobs, the statement read. The ceremony for the investment will be held on October 27 in Iran.
The company has operations in France, Germany, Austria, Netherland, Sweden, Italy, Czech Republic, Denmark, Greece, Russia, Iraq, Canada and U.S.
"With our strong financial structure, dynamic and innovative research-development team, our experienced and well-trained staff, we will continue to make international investments," Yukselir Group's Chairman of the Executive Board (CEO) Yavuz Selim Yukselir said.
The CEO added that the company considered different scenarios before taking the investment decision.
