Turkey's crude oil imports up 47.7% in October

- Production of oil refinery products increases by 55.9% to 3.24 million tonnes in October

Turkey's crude oil imports rose by 47.7 % to 3 million tonnes in October 2019 compared to the same month of 2018, according to Turkish energy watchdog's data.

The country imported the most crude oil from Russia at 1.19 million tonnes in October. Iraq and Kazakhstan followed with 957,657 tonnes and 267,486 tonnes, respectively, Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said in its monthly oil market report.

The country's total import of oil products increased by 20.6 % in October to 4.21 million tonnes compared to October 2018.

Oil refinery product output increased by 55.9% to 3.24 million tonnes. In addition, diesel production was up 105.5% reaching nearly 1.42 million tonnes, while gasoline production was up 20.5%, reaching nearly 460,594 tonnes.

In October, total domestic fuel sales rose by 11.3 % to 2.79 million tonnes compared to the same month last year.
