Fire put out at Turkey's Ceyhan oil storage tank

Fire which broke out early Thursday morning at an empty oil storage tank in Turkey's Ceyhan city, the second-largest city of Adana province, was extinguished by automatic sprinklers and efforts of the local fire department.

The fire which broke out at 8:20 a.m. Thursday during maintenance works was immediately extinguished, BOTAS, Turkey's state-owned crude oil and natural gas pipelines and trading company announced.

No one was injured during the fire. 

Ceyhan, the transportation hub for oil and natural gas of the Middle East, Central Asia and Russia houses the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline - the crude oil pipeline connecting Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan to Ceyhan.
