Brent oil price at $55 at end of week on April 7

- Brent crude oil price increased by 2.84% to $55.27 while U.S. WTI rose 2.72% to $52.23 at 14.30 GMT on Friday

International benchmark Brent crude oil price increased by 2.84 percent to $55.27 while U.S. WTI rose 2.72 percent to $52.23 at 14.30 GMT on Friday.

Oil was fluctuating between $52.80 and $54.94 until the U.S. military attacked the Shayrat Airfield in central Syria early Friday.

On Wednesday, international benchmark Brent crude price climbed above $55 per barrel while the American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) traded close to $52 a barrel.

However, after weekly crude stocks increased in the U.S. unexpectedly, Brent fell to $54.11 a barrel, and WTI declined to $50.90 per barrel at 15.20 GMT on Wednesday.

On early Friday, just after the U.S. military strikes, international benchmark Brent crude increase to $56.06, a 1.6 percent increase while American benchmark West Texas Intermediate raised 1.7 percent to $52.92.
