Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports decreased by 8.81% to 277 thousand tonnes in May 2019 compared to the same month of 2018, according to the latest data revealed by the country's energy watchdog on Friday.
The Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EMRA) data showed that imports to Turkey came from Algeria, the U.S., Kazakhstan, Norway, the U.K., Russia, Equatorial Guinea, and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Turkey's LPG production increased in May to approximately 102 thousand tonnes - a year-on-year increase of 35.3%.
Exports decreased by nearly 24.24% to 7 thousand tonnes this May compared to May 2018.
Total LPG sales reached approximately 339.5 thousand tonnes in May -- a 1.70% decrease, including 263.1 thousand tonnes of autogas, 65.9 thousand tonnes of bottled LPG, and 10.5 thousand tonnes of bulk LPG.
