The trade volume of Turkey's spot natural gas market increased by 26.2% to 12.4 million Turkish liras on Wednesday, Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data showed on Thursday.
Total trade on Tuesday amounted to 9.8 million liras.
On Wednesday's spot market, 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas cost 1,475 liras, while the total trade volume of natural gas amounted to 8.41 million cubic meters.
Turkey received 198.5 million cubic meters of pipeline gas on Wednesday.
US$1 equals 6.09 Turkish liras at 1135 GMT on Thursday.
