The trade volume on Turkey's spot natural gas market saw an increase of 100% to 14.35 million Turkish liras on Wednesday, Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data showed on Thursday.

Total trade on Tuesday amounted to 7.17 million Turkish liras.

On Wednesday's spot market, 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas cost 6,871 liras, while the cumulative natural gas trade volume amounted to around 2.09 million cubic meters.

Turkey received 232.3 million cubic meters of pipeline gas on Wednesday.

US$1 equals 15.52 Turkish liras at 1100 GMT on Thursday.
