Russia increases oil prod. by 2.4% in Jan '17

- Russia boosts natural gas production by 7.1 percent in January 2017, says Rosstat

Russia's oil output in January of 2017 increased by 2.4 percent while natural gas production rose by 7.1 percent in January, according to the recent announcement of the Russian Federal Statistical Service (Rosstat).

Rosstat's data showed that oil production rose to 46.1 million tons while the country's natural gas production increased to 58.9 billion cubic meters.

The country also increased its fuel oil production by 2.6 percent to reach 23.9 million tons in January 2017 compared to the same month of 2016.
