Gazprom sells 71 percent share in Turkish Bosphorus Gaz

-Sen Group, which already has a 29 percent share in Bosphorus Gaz, buys remaining share from Gazprom

Russian state-owned gas giant Gazprom sold its 71 percent stake in Turkish company Bosphorus Gaz, the Turkish company announced Monday.

Sen Group, which already holds the remaining 29 percent share in Bosphorus Gaz, bought Gazprom’s share, according to the companies.

The transaction between Adnan Sen, the general manager of Bosphorus Gaz and Gazprom was completed on Sept. 21, but the transaction's monetary value has not yet been disclosed.

Bosphorus Gaz, established in 2003, is a private Turkish company involved in the importation and distribution of gas. In 2004, Gazprom became a major shareholder.
