Türkiye's liquefied petroleum gas imports up 17% in April

- LPG production increases year on year by 4.8% to 87,781 tonnes, according to Türkiye's energy watchdog

Türkiye's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports increased by 17% to 263,237 tonnes in April compared to the same month of 2021, according to the latest data from the country's energy watchdog.

The Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EMRA) data showed that Türkiye's imports originated from Algeria, the US, Russia, Kazakhstan, Greece and Iraq.

The country's LPG production in April increased to 87,781 tonnes, marking a year-on-year rise of 4.8%.

Exports also rose to around 51,305 tonnes in April, showing a jump of 664.7% compared to the same month last year.

Total LPG sales in April decreased by 3.1% to around 277,450 tonnes, comprising 224,209 tonnes of autogas, 45,429 tonnes of bottled LPG, and 7,811 tonnes of bulk LPG.
